Safar Flyer Status Match FAQ

Update: US carriers and hotel status holders no longer eligible to apply.
As of November 25, 2025, applicants holding US airline status, or hotel elite status will no longer be eligible to apply.

What is the Status Match promotion?
Royal Air Maroc offers participants who hold an elite status in an eligible airline's frequent flyer or hotel program an equivalent frequent flyer status in the Safar Flyer loyalty program. Application fees, approval and eligibility criteria apply.

Do I have to be a Safar Flyer member to participate in the promotion?
Yes, a Safar Flyer membership number is required to participate in the promotion. You can join Safar Flyer here.

Which Safar Flyer frequent flyer status can I obtain through the promotion?
Approved applicants will receive the equivalent tier of Silver, Gold or Platinum Safar Flyer status. Refer to the Status Tier mapping table further below.

How long is the status valid if my application for a status match is approved?
If your application is approved, you will receive the corresponding frequent flyer status with Safar Flyer within 3 business days, valid until December 31, 2026.

Is there an application fee?
Application fees are as follows:
USD $149 for Silver.
USD $349 for Gold.
USD $749 for Platinum.

Platinum applications are for eligible customers only and are limited in supply.

Fees are non-refundable once the Status Match application has been approved.

I hold elite status with another airline not listed - can I still participate in the promotion?
No, only status members of the listed eligible airline programs may apply for this targeted offer.

When does the Safar Flyer Status Match promotion end?
Royal Air Maroc and StatusMatch.com reserves the right to end the promotion or vary it at their discretion.

What information do you require for me to participate in the Status Match promotion?
To participate in the promotion, you need your Safar Flyer membership number, your other airline status number/card or proof for verification, and a valid qualifying e-mail address at which we can reach you.

During the registration process, we will also ask you for proof of your frequent flyer status (e.g., a photo of your status card).

I hold an elite status with a hotel program - can I also participate in the promotion with this status?
Some hotel elite tier members are eligible to apply for Safar Flyer Silver status. When applying, click on 'Hotel' when it asks which tier status you hold.

How long does it take until I receive my new Safar Flyer loyalty status after applying?
You will be informed within three days after submitting the requested information, whether your status match has been approved. Once approved, it may take up to 3 business days until your frequent flyer status is upgraded in your Safar Flyer account.

What happens if my status match application is not approved?

How do I extend my Safar Flyer Status Match beyond December 31, 2026?

Can the Safar Flyer Status Booster be used in conjunction with Status Match?
Yes.

How does the complimentary 30-day 3x Status Miles Booster work?
All approved applicants after November 11, 2025 will receive a complimentary 30-day 3x Status Miles Booster.

This booster will activate on your Safar Flyer account automatically from January 1, 2026 and will be valid until January 31, 2026.

You may purchase a Status Booster anytime (including immediately after your status match approval), by going to the Status Booster page at https://boost.loyaltystatus.com/ram.

After your 30-day complimentary Status Booster, you may purchase it again, at any time, to continue boosting your Status Miles.

How long will my new Safar Flyer status be valid for upon approval?
Your intial approved Status Match will grant you status at that tier level until December 31, 2026.
